On monday last week i got to see deerhoof @ club 101 , we had practice and tyler told me he wanted to go so i convinced evan and ashley so they came along. there i saw stinky and some other people i had not seen in a while . we got there right after their first song , it was great . The lead singer Satomi is so cute , she is seriously like maybe 5 feet ...prob not . her bass seemed huge compared to her but she made it sound awesome . The drummer is so talented too , actually the whole thing was good (great energy) . the rest of the week i could not stop thinking about friday (THE DA was playing a show). i got to hang out with a bunch of friends and had blast , i had a blueberry stoli press and i decided i dont like blueberry vodka as much as i think i should . Friday finally came around and i was very excited , it was going to be a local band show . It was free and i was at zeppelins . i was hoping people show up. When we got there it was soooo cold out !! but thankfully once SUPERROOT played the crowd started to come in . Man those two are sooo badass , ROOTBUG makes some serious beats and PROMISE is a sick ass MC.
Once they played i knew it was going to be a rad show . We were on second , setup was a bitch but finally we got it done. After us played THE LEWD TENANTS , it was actually their premiere and they killed it ..man i want to buy a juno soo bad. THe KILOHERTZ closed the night and i was good as always . Well i guess like my friend sayed it only takes a free show for people to show up. And man was it true , this place was bumping . They even ran out of beer.... . The next day there was a good party with tranny bartenders and live art . i was good seeing lots of people out this weekend. I know el paso i not some awesome town like austin or dallas or denver or la but i had a great time this week ...now to rest.........
